01What is HEALTHYTOMATO?+
An international project assessing tomato disease-development risk from environmental data and analysing possible symptoms in images.
02Who are the target users?+
Small and medium-sized greenhouses, growers, agronomists, plant pathologists, researchers and agri-tech companies.
03Do drone images diagnose disease directly?+
No. Vegetation indices support plant-development and stress monitoring and must be evaluated with field observations and expert knowledge.
04Is Leafara the final project product?+
No. Leafara v2 is a working supporting prototype. Development of the project-specific Alternaria and Botrytis models continues.
05Does the system measure true LAI?+
No. The ArUco software estimates projected plant area and a canopy-based eLAI proxy, not field-calibrated true LAI.
06Can growers use the system immediately?+
The system is still in research and prototype development and should not be presented as a commercial product before pilot validation.
